World Tai Chi Day at the Castillo de San Marcos

On Saturday, April 27th join Tai Chi for Health & Wellness in celebrating World Tai Chi Day, right in front of the historical Castillo de San Marcos. We are showing our support by crafting freshly brewed coffee for all who attend. The morning will start with a meet and gather at 9:00am and a group Tai Chi practice at 10:00am. Enjoy the bay front breeze in sunny Downtown St. Augustine while you find your serenity.

What is Tai Chi?

A form of active meditation, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. These programs are low impact, putting minimal stress on muscles and joints. It is generally safe for all ages and fitness levels, so everyone is welcome to join!

The goal of Tai Chi is to cultivate the Qi, (or life force,) within us to flow smoothly and powerfully throughout the body. A session of Tai Chi can evoke confidence, motivation and/or peace within you.
